STL files for 28 mm miniatures for crew in 1809 uniforms as depicted by drawing at the library of the Museo del Risorgimento at Milano in forge caps and trousers/
Note that scale up or down may result in not to scale and fragile parts such as handles, wheels spokes, etc.
Figures are presented with supports and without supports.
Pre-supported figures hava a minimal support structure both to minimize supporting points in the figures to keep them as clean as possible to preserve details and to save printing material to reduce the printing cost. We do recommend to print using semi flexible resin.
As artillery tools are thin pieces we present the option to print the figures without the tools. for such purpose figures come with wholes in their hands to insert the tools.
The tip of the tools are presented separately in the pre-supported files and in separate files for the unsupported figures. It is convenient to use a 2k or higher resolution printer as the tips have small wholes in them to mount the metlic rods.
A metalic rod (such as those available for model railroads) has to be inserted into the tips.Sizes for the tips are the following.
- Linstock: 0.5mm
- Ram: 0.8mm
- Worm 0.8mm
You must cut the ram and worm rods in different lenghts depending on the cannon caliber they will be serving based on this orientative table:
- 4 pounds cannon 29mm
- 8 pounds cannon 37mm
- 12 pounds cannon 42mm
Figures with the printable tools come in three different tool sizes to fit the requirements of the 4pdr, 6pdr and 12 prd cannons.
Every item is presented in a separate file for your sliceing and printing convenience.
Files are presented with supports and without supports as indicated above.
We recommend the use of side cutters and cutter to remove the supports.
